Team Leader Purchasing (m/f/d)

Raw Material Strategy & Supply Security: You bear the overall responsibility for the procurement of polymers, additives and complementary components in a market with few suppliers and fluctuating prices. You systematically observe commodity markets and ensure the supply of production – even in tight market phases. The development of dual-sourcing structures and the broadening of the supplier base in critical product groups are key objectives. Negotiation & contract management: You conduct price and contract negotiations with national suppliers on their own responsibility and further expand the management of framework agreements and annual agreements, including price slip clauses. You always have a look at the overall cost consideration. Supplier Management & Professionalization: You develop a modern supplier management: evaluation, development, risk mitigation. You bring structure into processes and key figures and raise savings potential. Interfaces: You are the central interface for all topics in purchasing – in close cooperation with production, technology, maintenance, sales and quality assurance. Short ways, direct communication. Leadership & operational cooperation: You run a small shopping team, currently 2 employees plus trainees, professional and disciplinary and report directly to the management. The role combines strategic responsibility with operational cooperation – You are both leaders and creators.

Shopping experience: You master the daily business and have several years of professional experience in purchasing – ideally 5–7 years, ideally with first leadership responsibility. You understand your craft: product group management, supplier development, contract negotiations. Experience in the raw material or polymer market is a clear plus, but not mandatory. Leadership experience: You are looking for a job in which you can help shape – and are experienced in the (scientific) leadership of a team in a company with short paths. You are present, direct and pragmatic. Communication and negotiating strength: You are powerful, structured and communicative. You combine strategic vision with a translation-oriented approach and feel comfortable in the medium-sized environment. Under contract law you are familiar with yourself and can design and evaluate delivery and framework contracts securely. Industry Background: A background in plastics processing, extrusion, injection molding or in a comparable product environment with a similar procurement structure is advantageous – but no requirement. IT & Processes: You work safely with ERP systems and MS Excel and bring the willingness to structure processes and digitize them gradually.
