Public Affairs Advisor: Regulation and Insurance

Central interface function to external stakeholders, policy and oversight as well as internal specialist departments (e.g. underwriting) and international sites Monitoring of international developments in the insurance and financial sectors Analysis of regulatory and legislative initiatives at (inter) national level (including insurance supervision, financial market regulation, sustainability) Development of sound positions, opinions and policy assessments Active lobbying and representation of business interests against regulators, policy makers and experts at national level Further development of legal frameworks for (back) insurance Establishment and maintenance of an international network in the insurance industry

Master's degree in economics, finance, insurance, public policy or related fields Occupational experience in an insurance, financial or regulatory environment (e.g. industry association, supervisory authority, consulting, financial industry, regulatory / public affairs or lobbying) is advantageous Knowledge of insurance regulation and the national and European financial market framework and the ability to work on complex issues First experience in the preparation of analyses, opinions and strategic concepts Good understanding of policy-making and stakeholder management and the ability to move safely into different political and regulatory contexts Dangerous German and English skills combined with high communication strength and excellent team and cooperation skills Readiness to travel – for example every two months, with individual phases with higher travel volumes for committee meetings within Germany or Europe You may not meet all the requirements mentioned, but you will understand your expertise.
