Senior DevOps Engineer (m⁠/⁠w⁠/⁠d) - Microsoft Azure, AKS, Azure Functions

Location: 76275 Ettlingen bei Karlsruhe

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you conduct design, development and maintenance of scalable and safe infrastructures in Microsoft Azure. You work with a cross-functional team to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments and implement best practices for monitoring, security and reliability.

You design, implement and maintain our cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure, making it a future-proof technological base. You develop and promote modern CI/CD pipelines with tools such as BitBucket Pipelines or Azure DevOps to ensure smooth software lifecycle. By using Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform, you automate our infrastructure and increase its efficiency and repeatability. You monitor system performance, ensure high availability, scalability and security, and proactively respond to potential disruptions. In close cooperation with our development and QA teams, you are constantly optimising our deployment processes. You take responsibility in critical situations: from incident response to root cause analyses to post-mortems. You regularly evaluate new technologies and tools to develop our infrastructure strategically.

You have a successfully completed study in the field of computer science, business informatics, software development or a comparable qualification You have several years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or comparable roles. You have knowledge of Microsoft Azure, especially in services such as AKS, Azure Functions, App Services, VMs and VNETs. You can master at least one script language like PowerShell, Bash or Python safely. You have practical experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Your knowledge of network architecture, cloud security and best practices is up to date. You know yourself with monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana or CheckMK. You work routiniert with version control systems (e.g. Git) and have practical experience with CI/CD platforms. You bring a solution-oriented way of working, analytical thinking and strong communication skills. Azure certifications such as AZ-400, AZ-104 or comparable are a plus point.
