Are you looking for a position in which practical guidance, control of hygiene measures and training are closely linked? You will then be right at the Vivantes Institute for Hygiene and Environmental Medicine and develop into a hygiene field with a variety of tasks in a responsible field of work.

The Institute of Hygiene and Environmental Medicine advises all Vivantes sites and is responsible for the prevention, detection and control of hospital infections. For the individual clinics, teams from doctors and hygiene professionals are on site. Based on current scientific findings, the Institute ensures that medical, nursing and diagnostic activities are carried out under infection-preventive aspects. In addition, organisational and structural conditions are designed to minimize the risk of infections. Infectious causes and chains are systematically analysed and appropriate measures for containment are developed. Further training on hygiene is carried out in rotation under the guidance of a hospital hygiene team.

Participation in the preparation and updating of hygiene plans and in the determination of disinfection measures and their monitoring Implementation of station and area visits, including preparation and follow-up by the supervisory authorities Technical control of the measures listed in the hygiene plans, in particular for multi-resistant pathogens Training and practical guidance of hospital staff in the field of hospital hygiene Monitoring, coordination and documentation of hygienic microbiological testing of sterilization equipment, disinfection equipment, water and air systems

State-recognised training as a nursing professional or Health care and nursing staff* in nursing care Interest and willingness to participate in continuing training on hygiene Good MS Office knowledge and readiness for further EDV programs Ready to use within Berlin Self-employed and team-oriented working with high commitment as well as strong communication strength and safe occurrence Legally necessary evidence of immunization against measles
