Your working environment

We develop social future! As an operating IT service provider of the Federal Employment Agency (BA), the IT system house at the main location Nuremberg/Fürth and at various locations throughout Germany with over 100 IT applications, 180.000 connected PC workstations and the associated infrastructure runs one of the largest IT landscapes in Germany and continuously develops them. You will be hired in the IT system house as an IT technician.

Possible places of work for this tender are: Fürth, Berlin, Bochum, Chemnitz, Düsseldorf, Hannover, Krefeld, Lübeck. Please enter your preferred working place (possibly several) as part of an application.

Our team develops software for the processing support of employer services (short-worker money and insolvency money). Your future team covers the entire process from consulting on development and operation of applications. We work agile, with a good mix of local and mobile work and have an excellent working atmosphere. You can expect IT procedures with various software architectures, technologies and methods of approach. Tasks and Activities

Test engineers design and implement test strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of IT systems. They identify and troubleshoot errors and ensure that the systems meet customer requirements.

Your duties include the independent implementation of the following tasks:

• Planning and implementation of quality assurance tests
• Identification, documentation and participation in the elimination of software errors
• Development of test strategies and procedures
• Evaluation and improvement of test coverage and efficiency

Requirements

• Higher education or comparable qualifications (priorities: computer science, business informatics)
• or comparable profile

Requirements:

• Knowledge of test methods and tools
• Knowledge of software quality assurance (manual and automated tests)
• Basic knowledge of test strategies, test management, test automation and test processes
• Knowledge in the respective area of responsibility (e.g. personnel, finance, logistics, etc.)

In addition to a structured approach, the following knowledge is desirable for the perception of activity:

• Creation of user documentation
• Finded knowledge of keyword-based test automation
• Basic knowledge of Jira and Confluence
• Basic knowledge of automation tools Selenium and TestLeft
• Basic knowledge of agile methods (e.g. SCRUM)
• Basic knowledge of software quality assurance
• Basic knowledge of Eclipse, GIT
• Java knowledge

The following certification is desirable:

• ISTQB Certified Tester
