Description

• During your doctorate, you will research, test and design creatively future systems of driver assistance in the motorcycle.
• They estimate a comfortable and safe trajectory (speed, angle of inclination, acceleration course, ...) based on map data (street course, gradient, ...).
• You can also use an AI data-driven approach based on geodata from map servers (Here, Open Street Map, ...), use empirical driving data for training and verify the models.
• In addition, you can derive insights from the trained ML models. The topics are: What features and in what situations does the prediction work? In what situations are restrictions?
• Last but not least, you define a suitable and representative reference data set for training taking into account different types of drivers (comfortable, sporty, ...).

Qualifications

• Education: very good university degree in computer science or mathematics
• Experiences and know-how: good knowledge of AI methods (deep learning via CNN, LSTM and classical methods, e.g. Bayes, Random Forest, SVM)
• Qualification: motorcycle driver license
• Personality and working methods: to best implement your work, use literature research; Thanks to your previous experience, you can easily formulate clean problem definitions; They like to carry out analyses and clearly describe the results; You can easily derive and use objective metrics, and you can also work in the team, exchange with colleagues or colleagues and bring your ideas
