The Schwarz IT supports the entire digital infrastructure and all software solutions of the companies of the Schwarz Group. It is therefore responsible for selecting, providing and operating as well as further developing IT infrastructures, IT platforms and business applications. In order to optimally support the departments through IT solutions in their business processes, the Schwarz IT takes up the requirements of the departments in consultations and works together with these professional and efficient IT solutions.

Your tasks

• Planning and control of the rollout: Together with the departments, the introduction of digital pricing solutions in the branches is coordinated.Ideally, you bring an enthusiasm for trading and understand the processes in the retail trade.
• Technical project management: You are the interface between IT department, branches and external service providers. You ensure that the technical requirements (e.g. in the areas of network, firewall and software updates) are implemented smoothly.
• Responsibility and "You build it, you run it": With your team you take responsibility for the developed solutions. This includes not only the successful implementation, but also the operation. You live the motto “You build it, you run it!”
• Technical dependencies and vision: You recognize technical dependencies early and think forward to identify and manage potential challenges and risks already during the planning phase.
• Zero Downtime: A central aspect of your work is to ensure that software updates and system changes can be performed without interrupting the ongoing branch operation. You develop concepts for trouble-free operation.
• Quality Assurance and Support: You accompany the pilot phases, carry out functional tests and are contact persons with technical questions.

Your profile

• You have experience in project or rollout management of IT solutions, ideally in retail or in comparable industries.
• Knowledge of the technology of the Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL) is of great advantage for this position.
• Knowledge in areas such as network infrastructure, IT security (firewall, encrypted network communication) and software deployment are also helpful.
• You have a basic understanding of the functioning of wireless signals and know you, for example, with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
• You actively pursue new trends in the context of digital pricing and are able to evaluate their potential for our company.
• You understand that complex technical issues are easy to communicate and have a strong problem-solving competence.
• A self-contained, structured way of working as well as team skills are yours.
• You have very good knowledge of German and English and can use them for successful communication in international, agile teams.
• You are ready to travel occasionally to our branches.
