Ensuring data quality, consistency and georeference across different data sources.

Construction and maintenance of an efficient geodatabase infrastructure (e.g. PostGIS).

Conception and training of machine learning models (e.g. for object recognition, classification, segmentation) on relevant geodata of the Deutsche Infrasoft.

Integration of the developed AI models into existing or new GIS applications and workflows of the Deutsche Infrasoft (Mobile Mapping Rail and Road)

Selection and use of suitable tools and programming languages as well as research and evaluation of new technologies in the field of geodata, cloud computing and AI and existing open source solutions.

Documentation of processes, models and technical architecture.

Close cooperation with survey teams, GIS analysts and project leaders to identify automation potentials.

Technical support and training for internal stakeholders in the use of the developed data solutions

Co-operation in the programming/creation and maintenance of company-owned software tools

Training/experience: Completed training or studies in computer science, geophysics, geoinformatics, specialist informatics or comparable technical subjects

Professional experience in software and web application development, experience or intersections in the field of geoinformatics, GIS applications and the processing of point clouds from mobile mapping

Expertise Very good knowledge of programming in Python, more relevant desirable

Knowledge of the design and programming of databases

Enthusiasm for and application of current surveying technologies as well as GIS systems and applications
