The Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks (BImA) is the real estate service provider of the federal government, which supports the federal government's real estate policy objectives and provides the necessary areas and buildings for almost all federal authorities. Accordingly, we are represented throughout Germany with more than 7,000 employees and take care of a very broad and colorful real estate portfolio as well as the ecological use and care of the federal nature areas. With the management and continuous optimization of the IT infrastructure, we ensure secure and smooth digital processes in the Information Technology business unit. As a modern IT unit, we advise on all content, process and economic issues. We continuously develop the BImA’s “digital nervous system”. We need you for that! Do with us BImA! The employment is terminated in accordance with the public service collective agreement (TVöD Bund) in the remuneration group 10. Depending on the applicant's situation, an additional temporary allowance of up to 1,000 euros may be considered monthly. As our own infrastructure department, we are responsible for the (further) development and operation of the data center and the basic services, including client management & SW distribution, Microsoft Office, Citrix Platform, SharePoint, Security Suite etc. The connection of the more than 400 BImA sites is also the responsibility of the department. Active cooperation in the (agile) projects of the departments is core business in addition to the operational tasks. The possibilities to work into the current technologiestacks, such as LowCode/NoCode Development or AI, are manifold. The BImA-IT operates a homogeneous MS SQL DB cluster, the specialist applications and services usually run on the MS SQL DB Environment.

Database operation: As a database administrator, you will take care of the installation, maintenance and performance of the databases in close collaboration with projects and service managers. Monitoring & proactive troubleshooting: Operational stability and prevention have the highest priority. In the database team, you develop the existing monitoring and are able to detect and regulate deviations at an early stage. Automate: You automate the operational processes via scripting or other tools. Further development & new technologies: In the database team, together with internal and external stakeholders, you will take care of the further development of the database stack. Adapt and implement new technologies and innovations. These tasks require a strategic, solution-oriented operation and a high degree of communication and coordination capabilities. We work mobile and flexible. However, occasionally on the service post/workplace, service trips may occur. These missions are generally planned with sufficient chronological advance, so that the reconciliation of family and occupation is guaranteed.

Education: Completed technical university studies (Bachelor or Fachhochschulbildung) in computer science, economic informatics, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification.
