Staff member for advising those affected, relatives and donors (m/f/d)

With more than 270,000 strokes per year and more than one million affected citizens, the stroke disease is a major challenge for the health system. The Stiftung Deutsche Schlaganfall-Hilfe is a central contact person for affected persons and employees and is committed to innovative solutions as well as improved stroke supply. The needs of the affected people are at the heart of our action.

A stroke tears people out of life. The first three to four hours decide on life, disability or death. The good news: 70 percent of strokes could be prevented in Germany. Therefore, target-group-oriented communication is a core task of the Foundation: We clarify symptoms as well as emergency behaviour and inform about risk factors as well as the positive effects of a healthy lifestyle. We also network stakeholders and work together with our partners for optimal processes in the supply chain.

We offer orientation in difficult times and a varied and meaningful activity: For almost everyone knows a person concerned in the near environment and yet there is lack of education and support after this destiny. Help to change this! We are looking from now on, first fixed for two years, in full time one/n Staff for the advice of affected persons, relatives

Your duties You advise you by phone and in writing about the stroke (e.g. on rehabilitation, car driving, care, therapy, legal and social themes, aids and self-help) and provide appropriate points of contact (e.g. care points and self-help groups, as well as experts or Experts from our network). You don't take medical advice. You are close to the human being and bring the topics of those affected and relatives to the foundation work. You improve our service quality with ideas and careful documentation of requests in the database and give important input for the content work. For our donors, you are a reliable contact person: with a fingertip at contingency donations and with a persuasive force for birthday or anniversary donations. You take care of bank enquiries in our donor database and create donor lists, thanks letters and grant confirmations. You support the general foundation work.

Communication skills, empathy, sense for people Pleasure to the telephone and personal advice of affected persons, members and donors Knowledge in the field of health or medicine and experience in patient care, social services, telephone and personal advice are desirable. Careful, structured and responsible way of working, team skills and interest in new topics and techniques Safe handling of MS Office and MS Teams
