Development and Calculation Engineer Fluid Dynamics (m/f/d)

Lagrange, Euler and Fortran are familiar to you as terms? Does it appeal to you to model complex physical high-speed phenomena and to set new standards in the simulation by innovative calculation methods? We develop and use a solver to simulate underwater explosions (UNDEX) and in-air detonations (AIREX). Our tasks range from the evaluation of the simulation results to the analysis and optimization of shock-proof systems, to risk analyses by Altmunition, to the support of qualification processes for maritime platforms. We continuously work on the further development of the source code and integrate new physically relevant effects to further improve the quality of our simulations.

Development and implementation of new simulation methods as well as software features on the fluid dynamic side for the continuous expansion of the performance portfolio and for the targeted optimization of the simulation methods Conducting Multi Physics Simulations of Fluid Structure Interaction Operations on our State of the Art High Performance Cluster (HPC) Simulation of highly dynamic processes by using the in-house software environment DYSMAS independent processing of customer projects, including systematic documentation of the calculation results and presentation of the results before the client Support in the acquisition and construction of new customer relationships to new customer acquisition

Completed studies in mathematics, computer science, science, technology or comparable Programming experience, ideally in Fortran and/or C++ Very good knowledge in the field of compressible fluid mechanics and thermodynamics Experience in the field of Numerics of Compressible Fluids Ideally knowledge of the application of explicit simulation methods (Riemannlöser) and Linux based HPC clusters German and English skills
