At Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH we develop high-precision technologies and software solutions for the production and measurement of optical systems. In an interdisciplinary team of experts, we design innovative methods – from simulation to control. Our internal CAM software is a central tool in the production process and is continuously developed to ensure the highest quality and efficiency. Support in the further development of an established, internal ZEISS CAM software for simulating and controlling production processes for optical surfaces (e.g. measuring, polishing, cleaning, grinding)

Design, implementation and testing of new software modules as well as optimization of existing modules in a small, agile and multi-site team

Development of solutions in close coordination with the team and internal customers

Participation in fault analysis and troubleshooting in existing software applications

technical and technical support of the team during development

successfully completed studies in the field of computer science, mathematics, physics or a comparable study programme

very good practical knowledge of object-oriented software development

ideally multiannual experience in the .Net Framework and C# under Microsoft Visual Studio o C# / .Net, WinForms, XML, NLog

sound knowledge of algorithms and mathematics, in particular analytical geometry and linear algebra

Experience with Git version control and AzureDevOps of advantage

knowledge of MATLAB and/or Python desirable (e.g. for porting prototypes according to C#)

Experience with database connection in C# (e.g. Oracle)

strong team capability, reliability and self-initiative

Willingness to introduce your own ideas and actively contribute to the further development
