Senior Systems Engineer Autonomous Navigation (m/f/d)

Your new tasks:

• You take over the technical leadership for entire development projects or sub-areas - from the first idea and analysis of the requirements to the development of the solution architecture to the test phase and commissioning.
• You analyse customer requirements, translate them into technical concepts and define customised subsystems.
• Together with interdisciplinary teams, you develop system architectures for the autonomous, navigation and mission systems of small deployment vessels and represent them internally and vis-à-vis national and international customers.
• You check the technical feasibility of functional and non-functional requirements, perform feasibility analyses and ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
• You develop test specifications and accompany final collections as well as customer reviews – both in the factory and in our customers and in rare cases on board.
• You support project planning by evaluating development issues, budgets and timetables, and coordinate technical interfaces to participating departments.
• In addition to the project work, you will also bring your know-how into overarching topics – from the further development of our business areas to the technical support in offers to the improvement and further development of existing systems. You are actively working on improving our skills, development culture, processes, efficiency and innovativeness.

You fit us if:

• You have successfully completed your studies in the field of computer science, electrical engineering or physics and have been able to gain several years of experience in the field of Systems Engineering for complex systems.
• You know the work with technical requirements as well as system and software designs and you already have experiences with model-based development and SysML as well as tools like DOORS, Magic Draw and Jira.
• Ideally, you have experience in designing and designing systems consisting of hardware and software, and you are familiar with non-functional requirements for electronic systems (EMV, resistance to environmental influences, security).
• Ideally you have experience with functional safety according to standards such as MILSTD882E, IEC 61508 or similar.
• You have a very good abstraction and analytical ability as well as a quality-conscious and professionally flexible way of working.
• Agile development processes You are not strange and you see yourself as a team player and are open to new ideas.
• Self-responsible and well-structured work belong to your strengths.
• You can communicate safely in German and English (equivalent C1).
• You meet the requirements for a successful safety check of Level Ü2 (SÜG).
