It is responsible for outstanding and complex construction projects in the field of design and technical requirements, with high requirements for building culture and economics. The Unit BA I 2 – Europe takes over the project management tasks of the construction projects in Europe, with the exception of the southern Balkans and the states of the former Soviet Union. In these regions, this unit is responsible for building projects for German embassies with offices and residences, as well as for the Goethe Institutes and other cultural institutions.

The weekly working hours are 39 hours per week for employees and 41 hours per week for employees. Internal tariff workers are advised that the service is only temporarily transferred during the test period of up to 6 months, and that during the test period no higher grouping takes place, but that a supplement is made in accordance with the conditions laid down. § 14 para. 3 TVöD is paid.
