What began in 2001 as a “bridged idea” is today the largest model railway in the world: the Miniatur Wunderland. Worlds arise here in the little ones that trigger great emotions. Trains rattle by mountains, airplanes lift off – and on the streets life pulsates. For our growing model landscapes, we are looking for you: a personality with enthusiasm for vehicles, technology and details – and with pleasure in bringing our guests to wonder. Because we don't just build models. We build emotions. We stage a show.

You bring our streets to life: Manufacture of a wide variety of model vehicles (lorries, cars, use vehicles, formula 1 sheets) from prefabricated kits Construction of stand models and self-propelled CarSystem vehicles with PC control Close coordination with the technical and electronics team – especially with illuminated vehicles Considering stability, ease of maintenance and everyday fitness in exhibition operation Preassembly, colour finishing according to model, application of decals and sealing with protective lacquer Staging typical traffic scenes with cultural sensitivity Integration of use and special vehicles in coherent exhibition scenes Presentation of living everyday situations – somewhere between realism and augmenting cartoon Planning and implementation of complete projects based on drawings, image and CAD data Processing of typical model building materials such as wood, plastics, metals and colours Participation in renovations of existing model worlds You work with common tools and small machines – from hand tools and small circular saws to the finest brushes.

Completed training e.g. in model construction, vehicle construction, precision mechanics, industrial mechanics, carpentry, technical product design or a comparable craftsman-designer profession Basic knowledge of graphics (e.g. Corel Draw, Corel Paint) or CAD Spatial imagination and sense for proportions Careful, independent and structured operation Teamability and flexibility Willingness to night and occasional weekend work If vehicles in small format delight you as much as their great role models – then we look forward to you.
