Statewide coordination of research data management (m/f/d)

Its task is to design, overall strategy & governance: to develop a strategic overall concept for the later national initiative in cooperation with all participating universities, stakeholders and nationwide commissions and bodies (including the IT Commission of the universities of the country). This results in particular in the following tasks: Development and updating of the nationwide FDM strategy taking into account national and international developments (including FAIR Data, Open Science, Research Infrastructures) including all Saxony-Anhalt universities Building and strategic management of a nationwide network of FDM managers and experts at universities and research institutions Control of country-wide voting and decision-making processes as well as the development of decision-making and information templates Acquisition of an interface between science, university management, administration and research infrastructures and other relevant actors and areas Conception of the nationwide service portfolio (including identification and prioritization of fields of action and strategic preparation of first IT-sided support structures) Development of concepts for sustainable counselling, qualification and support at national level of scientists Observation and evaluation of technical/technological/legal/promoting policy developments in research data management and deriving strategic consequences Networking with national and international FDM initiatives/communities (including interconnection to supraregional structures) Planning and implementation of transnational events, workshops and networking formats as well as address-oriented communication of project objectives Participation in the planning/application and strategic preparation of applications for funding Public relations and communication of goals, offers and results

scientific university degree (master, diploma or comparable degree), preferably in a field relevant for research data management, e.g.: information science, computer science, data science, library and information science, digital humanities, natural science, life science, social sciences or economics relevant professional experience in research data management, research infrastructures, science management or comparable activity well-founded knowledge of current developments and challenges of research data management, in particular in the context of FAIR Data, Open Science and research infrastructures Experience in the design, coordination and strategic management of complex, cross-organisational projects pronounced conceptual and analytical skills as well as the ability to prepare complex issues in a address-oriented manner combined with very good communication and moderation capabilities very good knowledge of German and good English in word and writing readiness for regular missions (especially within Saxony-Anhalts; if necessary supraregional)
