The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees. The SOS Children's Village Schwerin offers various support for children and adolescents as well as their families and relatives. In Schwerin we are active in the field of outpatient and outpatient assistance for education and an open offer. For our SOS Children's Village Schwerin we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in permanent employment, full-time or part-time (min. 30 - max. 38.5 h/w) The SOS Children's Village Schwerin has been accommodating children, young people and families in difficult situations of life for many years. In the field of outpatient assistance for education, we are helping families in close cooperation with the Youth Office. Our goal is to make resources visible, to strengthen the competence of individual family members and thus to sustainably stabilise families.

Your task: Your tasks include: You advise families in educational matters and help them structure family life in a beneficial way. You accompany and stabilize families in acute crisis situations by giving orientation and concrete help. You provide appropriate support services and help build helpful networks. You promote a positive parent-child relationship by listening, consulting and developing solutions together. You create a trusted educational partnership with parents and relatives. You work closely with the General Social Service and take responsibility in the field of child protection. You are conscientiously implementing the protection of children and persons.

You have a completed study of social work or social education (BA or comparable). Your attitude is characterized by appreciation, respect and mindfulness to the families you work with, and to colleagues. You are team-oriented, reliable and bring your ideas creatively into work. You react flexibly and confidently to unpredictable situations. You plan and structure your daily work independently. You have open, clear and facing communication – in contact with children, young people, parents and network partners. You bring experience in child protection. Ideally, you have knowledge of systemic consulting, parent coaching or antiaggression training. You are willing to continue training regularly. You meet people professionally, with a good sense of proximity and distance.
