The Development Department is responsible for the products and services of decentralized network infrastructures, focusing on WAN and Remote Access for customers of the Sparkassen Finanzgruppe.

Conception, development and provision of complex WAN network architectures with a focus on carrier and provider connections, as well as on the technical evaluation, selection and control of carriers and network operators as well as cross-departmental coordination Evaluation and optimization of georelevant carrier connections for the data centers of financial information technology as well as development and validation of configuration specifications for routers and switches in a modern WAN environment Planning, preparation and implementation of changes Supporting operational rollouts of our network solutions, 3nd level support for our customers, as well as cooperation in projects of strategic network management (in particular compliance) Documentation and standardization: creation and maintenance of technical plans and documentation, identification of standardization potentials

Complete computer science or communication technology studies or equivalent qualifications acquired through professional experience and training, as well as min. 6 years of professional experience Multiannual professional experience with carrier technologies such as MPLS, VPN, IP-Transit and Ethernet Services as well as deep knowledge in switching, routing, TCP/IP,802.1X, QoS and ideally experience in handling software-defined networking (SDN) Ability to specify targets, derive action fields and continuously develop processes Structured analysis of complex network and security challenges and development of holistic solutions Communication strength with a wide range of stakeholders in both German and English, coupled with a good coordination capability, loadability, customer- and solution-oriented mindset Ready to use outside normal working hours and occasional travellers to our sites
