IT forms the backbone of modern working environments and processes. Therefore, the DRV Bund has strong IT areas in which both classic specialist informatics and IT specialists work with an IT degree. We offer you this training at two universities. There you become an expert in connected thinking and acting and remain in constant exchange with our customers. Already during the semester holidays you will gather valuable practical experience with us. Thanks to your studies, you can later take responsibility in your team and run your own projects. This includes the development of software applications, the management of our networks, the implementation of IT security measures and much more. In the course of your studies, the theoretical and practical phases change continuously. The You will complete the theoretical part of your study programme for the study programme Computer Science dual (place of employment Berlin) at the Technische Hochschule Brandenburg The theoretical part of your studies for the course of study of Applied Informatics (place of employment Würzburg) at the Dual University of Baden-Württemberg will be completed at the campus in Bad Mergentheim For example, you can expect databases, mathematics, algorithms, software technology, programming, communication technology or business management and operating systems/computer architecture. Practice The practical aspects of your studies, such as practical phases, project work and the bachelor thesis, will be completed by the DRV Bund at the location Berlin for the degree programme Computer Science dual and for the course Applied Informatics in Würzburg in our different IT areas Computer scientists can take on various tasks – from software development to IT project management there are a variety of different activities. We use you in the practical phases, as far as possible, according to your interests and inclinations (development – web/frontend/..., network, administration, modification of soft and hardware etc.). Future activities A computer scientist* deals with software development, but also information technology in general (IT). Depending on your interests, your task could be the development, programming and modification of soft and hardware. You work with complex information and control systems and perform tasks in theoretical, practical, technical or applied computer science or you work in system administration or project management. The maintenance of databases could also be one of your future tasks. Good to know So that you always keep an overview on the go, you will get a laptop from the start. After successfully completing your studies, we guarantee you a takeover in our company, e.g. in one of our IT areas. Thanks to the close coupling between the study and the work practice in the DRV Bund, you know from the beginning what it is about and what to do.
