Conducting structured market analyses for existing business units Analysis of market size, growth, segmentation, value chains Competition analyses (portfolio, positioning, pricing, capacities) Building and maintaining a systematic market and competition database Technical assessment of new product ideas Support for make-or-buy analyses Cooperation with M&A screenings from market perspective. Assessment of potential acquisition targets and partnerships in terms of market attractiveness, competitive position and strategic fit Building a company-wide market intelligence culture

Completed master degree in the field of chemistry, or comparable. Multiannual experience in the chemical industry (e.g. R&E, application technology, business development or strategy) Experience in market and competitive analyses Basic understanding of business relations Experience in dealing with market studies, databases and industry reports Communication strength, persuasiveness and intercultural competence. Secure handling of MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) Very good knowledge of German and English. High readiness for travel within Germany and internationally (including the USA).
