You are hired in the IT system house as an IT engineer/in. Possible places of work for this tender are: Nuremberg/Fürth, Berlin, Chemnitz, Düsseldorf, Hannover, Krefeld, Lübeck, Mainz. We operate one of the largest integrated ERP systems in the public sector. Your new team is responsible for technical and technical support, maintenance and regular technical and technical development of the IT procedures in this field. With our procedures, we support in particular the core processes of our own employees in procurement, inventory management, real estate management, IT control processes and project management. Tasks and activities: The EFA (Electronic Facility and Asset Management) IT process ensures a holistic IT solution to support BA's infrastructure management. As a result, the process provides a comprehensive view of the BA's real estate portfolio (own properties and rentals) with building-related, control-relevant information as a basis for the strategic and operational management of BA's real estate management. EFA’s line operation includes both the technical and technical operation of the RE-FX and PS SAP modules, numerous interfaces and a VE-Link server (technical operation and support of the application) and the technical and technical development based on manufacturer updates or new technologies (conversion S/4 HANA, implementation of technical improvement potentials and technical requirements regarding the functions of the modules. We are looking for a Senior Professional System Engineer with a focus on ABAP development, which designs, develops and tests the IT process according to the requirements of the client and the user. You work in an interdisciplinary team to ensure the quality and reliability of the software. In addition, you also work closely with clients, users and interface partners. The team organizes its tasks on the basis of Scrum and SAFe (agile software development models). Your future area of responsibility comprises essentially the independent implementation of the following tasks and instructions of others: Planning, management and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructures: specifically related to the SAP system (modules RE-FX and PS) Analysis of system requirements and performance data Development, customizing, testing activities, updating and monitoring of software as well as updating and monitoring of hardware (so-called early-morning checks) Identification and elimination of system problems Ensuring system availability and security Maintenance of information from the software manufacturer for error correction (so-called OSS notifications) Conception, implementation, testing and documentation of extensions (customer-specific developments: BADIs, Enhancements, User Exits, Reports) of the ERP system
