IU International University – Dual Studies Innovative and future-oriented teaching and research Highest flexibility for an optimal balance between work and family Personal and professional growth through continuous training For the summer semester 2025, we occupy a professorship (m/w/d) in the course of studies in civil engineering at the IU International University of Applied Sciences, for the first time in a limited period of 2 years at the Münster site in parttime, with the beginning on 01.04.2025.

You represent the field of civil engineering in teaching and research in the practice-integrated bachelor's degree program and you will jointly train the new generation of professionals. You prepare and guide lectures and are responsible for the individual support of our dual students during their examinations and during the preparation of their final work. You are able to train our students, for example, in the following areas: construction management and construction management, construction, sustainable construction, real estate management and lean construction management. You are involved in the creative development of teaching formats within the didactic concept of IU for dual study and develop this in collegial cooperation.

The approach of the IU International University is to provide practical content. A:e expert is therefore being sought in the field of civil engineering, which is distinguished by previous professional practice, scientific expertise and didactic skills and brings them into teaching at the IU. You have completed a university degree in the field of civil engineering or a reference and neighboring discipline with outstanding achievements and can present a relevant doctorate. You have more than five years of professional experience, of which three years outside the university and have preferably already gained experience in teaching. You can demonstrate your expertise in relevant topics through relevant publications or projects. You work in a team-oriented and reliable manner, in addition you focus on the teaching of presence, but you also master the performance of virtual courses. You have German knowledge at C2 level of the European Framework of Reference. The prerequisites for recruitment are governed by the Higher Education Act of the State of Thuringia.
