The University Rectors' Conference (HRK) represents the interests of German universities towards politics, business and the public. The Working Area for International Affairs is looking for a Head of Unit – Higher Education and Science Relations with Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia, HRK Information Portal 'International University Cooperations' The University Rectors' Conference (HRK) is the voluntary association of state and state-approved universities in Germany. The member universities are represented in the HRK by their presidents and rectorates. HRK currently has 272 member universities, where about 90 percent of all students in Germany are immatriculated. In this way, the University Rectors' Conference is the voice of universities towards politics and society and the central forum for joint opinion and will formation in the higher education system. What is it about: The work area for international affairs supports the internationalisation of HRK member universities through representation and service. He focuses his work on key internationalisation goals that derive from the HRK international strategy.

The tasks include: fostering the bi- and multilateral relations of the HRK with its partners in the regions mentioned and networking with regional actors: supporting the internationalisation activities of German universities in the regions mentioned and representing the interests of German universities in national and international bodies support and further development of various large data portals, including the HRK information portal “International University Cooperations”

A university degree (master or equivalent) or an equivalent qualification Experience in scientific cooperation with one or more of the regions mentioned Very good knowledge of the German university and scientific system Experience with the internationalisation of universities Experiences with the care, quality assurance and technical development of web-based databases and database support International experience, reliable English and secure knowledge of another relevant foreign language Conceptual thinking, fast conception, independent working flexibility, commitment, team spirit, organizational talent; readiness to frequent missions Professional experience in German science management is advantageous

The body is filled in full time, initially limited to two years. The place of service for this period is Bonn. Remuneration is made according to TV-L West, EC 14.
