Number: MER0003ZIT Mercedes-Benz AG stands for innovation and progress, especially in the field of assisted and automated driving and parking systems. The System Security team plays a central role in the safe development of these pioneering technologies and manages the current projects with comprehensive know-how about the Functional Safety (FUSA) according to ISO26262 and the Safety of the Intended Functionality (SOTIF) according to ISO21448. Our team is largely responsible for the safe development of the systems from the concept phase to series release. The Drive Pilot, the world's first system for highly automated driving to SAE level 3, shows impressively how we shape the future of mobility. To support current project activities, we are looking for a working student* for a working range of 10 - 15 h / week. These challenges include: Operational Functional Safety and Safety of the Intended Functionality Management Agile development monitors: Tracking the Ticket Documentation and Collection of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) The requirements management support: analysis of the safety requirements, their testing and evaluation of the analysed data Preparation of documentation and preparation of presentations for project bodies and internal/external presentations Maintenance and further development of the tools used for security analyses or the assessment of the security criticality of our systems The activity can begin from April 2026.

Study programme in the field of electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics, vehicle engineering, economic engineering or a comparable field of expertise Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Safe handling of MS Office Programming skills (preferably with Python) First experiences with JIRA, Confluence and IBM Doors Next Generation Personal competencies: Enthusiasm for assisted and automated driving and parking Especially the security in the system design is a concern for you Good technical understanding Business approach Right mix of team spirit, high initiative, target, result and customer orientation
