The Rummelsberg Hospital, in the sponsorship of Sana Kliniken AG, has 350 beds and is located southeast of Nuremberg. The Department of Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery, General and Visceral Surgery, Neurology, Internal Medicine and Geriatric Rehabilitation is well known and specialized beyond the boundaries of the Nuremberg-Fürth-Erlang metropolitan region. Medical and nursing expertise shape the work at the hospital Rummelsberg. Around 13,000 stationary and 23,000 outpatient patients are provided here annually. Between 2023 and 2027, the previous Wichernhaus is replaced by a state-of-the-art clinic building. The construction measure of EUR 150 million is partly funded by the Bavarian State.
