Environmental Compliance & EPR Specialist / Expert (m/f/d)

EPR Compliance Management • Responsibility and management of all EPR obligations throughout Europe, including: o WEEE (electrical and electronic waste equipment) o Batteries o Packaging o Other relevant waste streams (e.g. textiles, if applicable) • Ensuring timely and correct registrations, extensions and cancellations in all EU countries • Monitoring of data collection, validation and transmission for official reports Monitoring and implementation of legal regulations • Observing and interpreting evolving EU and national EPR regulations together with our external partner • Conducting the internal implementation of new requirements, in particular the PPWR (Regulation on Packaging and Packaging Waste) • Function as a specialist for compliance risks and regulatory changes Operational coordination • Maintaining relations with producer responsibility organisations (PROs), compliance systems and external service providers • Coordination of collection systems, recycling obligations and waste streams • Working with internal teams (SCM, Law, Finance, Product, Sustainability) Audit and documentation • Maintenance of a complete compliance documentation and test paths • Preparation and support for regulatory audits and inspections • Ensuring data integrity and traceability in all reporting systems Process improvement & strategy • Optimization of EPR processes, tools and workflows • Support for digitalisation and automation of compliance reporting • Participation in the sustainability strategy and initiatives for the circular economy

• At least 4 years of experience in EPR compliance, environmental compliance or regulatory affairs • Practical experience with the WEEE, battery and packaging regulations in Europe • Experience in cooperation with or within compliance organisations (e.g. consulting companies or service providers) • Experience in companies such as suppliers of compliance systems, recycling organisations or electronics manufacturers is very desirable Knowledge and skills • Funded knowledge of the EU regulatory landscape and national implementations • Confidence with the PPWR and the upcoming EU sustainability regulations is a big plus • experience in managing cross-border registrations and reporting • Embossed analytical skills with a view to detail in regulatory data • Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple stakeholders across countries Tools & languages • Experience with compliance/report tools and ERP systems • Advanced Excel or data processing skills • Liquid English and German; other European languages are advantageous
