IT Infrastructure Lead (m/w/d)

Doncasters Precision Castings-Bochum GmbH manufactures approx. 600 employees Running and guide vanes for aircraft engines and stationary gas turbines in fine casting. The Bochum production casts both polycrystalline and directed or monocrystalline solidified components.

Providing high-quality IT operating services at the Bochum site and supporting multi-site European systems and services Installation, configuration and management of hardware and software according to company requirements Close cooperation with IT Operations Manager–Europe to ensure smooth IT operations Implementation and further development of the “Back To Basics” program to continuously improve IT processes Support for cross-site projects in European IT operations Installation, support and further development of our hardware and software landscape Returning outsourced processes and know-how to our internal IT organization Ensuring regular data backups (On-Premise & Cloud) and performing disaster recovery tests with complete documentation Monitoring, maintenance and optimization of IT systems for maximum performance and safety Contract management over the entire lifecycle: from creation to renewal or termination Administration of our cloud services (including Microsoft 365) and integration of external PaaS and SaaS solutions Coordination of planned system changes and updates with external partners Support in implementing the “Back to Basics” program at the Bochum site Participation in the development and enforcement of IT Best Practices within the European IT community 1st and 2nd level support for stakeholders and users via the Helpdesk

Completed relevant vocational training or studies in the IT sector or many years of relevant professional experience Experience in managing an Active Directory environment is mandatory Funded understanding of backup and disaster recovery principles Very good knowledge of virtual environments (VMware) Experience in providing server and storage solutions (of advantage) Knowledge of cloud environments (of advantage) Knowledge of current best practices in IT security Embossed organizational skills, independent working and team skills in cooperation with IT teams and departments readiness for occasional missions within Europe
