Project Manager – Automotive Audio (m/f/d)

The automotive team of our Audio and Media Technologies division develops pioneering entertainment solutions for the automotive industry. Our algorithms are integrated into series vehicles of renowned manufacturers and open up new sound dimensions for first-class sound systems. As a project manager*in you take a central role at the interface between development and customers for entertainment systems of the vehicles of tomorrow. You accompany the development up to the delivery of the software and are the contact person for internal and external stakeholders of the project. Their goal is the punctual and high quality delivery of the products and a high satisfaction of the customers and project team members. In this position you work predominantly at the Erlangen-Tennenlohe site. Communication & Voting: You control the targeted communication and technical coordination between customers, project partners and the project team in an interdisciplinary and international setting. Requirements management: You clarify technical system requirements with the support of development management and define the next steps of the technical project organisation. Project Management & Transparency: You structure and accompany the project course from initiation to successful completion, secure transparency and monitor dates, resources and quality specifications. The aim is the punctual and high quality delivery of the products and a high satisfaction of the customers and the project team. Reporting & Steering Board: You regularly report to the Steering Board on status, progress, risks and capacities; Your contribution to multi-project management and project controlling provides the basis for decision-making. Process Design & Collaboration: You actively plan and implement processes in accordance with Automotive Standards and thus create constructive, efficient cooperation between participating groups and external partners. Escalation & Conflict Management: You develop a safe feeling where and how clarifications are necessary, in the event of difficulties occurring and carry out escalation meetings.

Completed scientific study of computer science, electrical engineering, economic engineering, business management/BWL or a related subject Professional experience as project manager*in, preferably in the automotive industry and/or in software development Excellent, valuable communication skills, empathy and enforcement The ability to keep in mind complex relationships and use management tools such as Confluence, Jira and Master Plan Class B driving licence and the readiness to occasional international missions A plus: Solid understanding of current software development processes and digital audio signal processing Legal and commercial basic knowledge
