The German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) as the umbrella organisation of the 79 German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (IHKs) takes over the representation of interests of the German economy vis-à-vis the decision-makers of the federal policy and the European institutions. At the same time, it coordinates the global network of bilateral German foreign trade chambers (AHKs) with locations in over 90 countries. In order to strengthen our team, we are looking at the DIHK at the Berlin location in the field of economic and financial policy, Mittelstand (WFM) at the earliest possible time for a speaker/representer (w/m/d) with the focus on corporate finance and financial markets in part or full time.

As an expert, you will follow the technical and political developments in the field of corporate finance and financial markets. These include in particular analyses and assessments of European banking and capital market regulation. They support employees of the team (also in Brussels) in the analysis and evaluation of the impact of the European and national sustainable governance on the financing of the economy in Germany. In cooperation with other areas of the DIHK and the IHKs, you develop an effective representation of the interests of the member companies of our IHK organization. Colleagues of other units will assist you with your expertise when it comes to securing financial access for companies. Economic policy developments on the issues of money, credit and currencies are analysing your strong understanding of economic and business relations. They are responsible for contact management and intensive exchange with other business associations, federal ministries, EU and national supervisory authorities as well as other EU institutions. They support the management and management of DIHK in the strategic and operational orientation of your field of activity and coordinate cooperation with IHK's colleagues and the Brussels DIHK office.

They have a degree or a master's degree with a focus on economics and financial market theory, as well as good business knowledge, optimally in the areas of banking management, operational finance. A promotion is desirable. They have gained first professional experience, for example in an economic association or a scientific institution. They possess very good analytical skills and have a safe judgment. You have a sovereign appearance at any time and can communicate with contact persons from politics, business, science and media at eye level. They are ready for business trips to the IHK sites, relevant specialist events and to Brussels. Team skills, commitment and strong communicative skills are part of your personality. You can present very good language skills in German, English and, if possible, in another foreign language.
