Our dedicated team of around 50 IT experts shapes the future of the central IT systems at the NDR with passion. Together, we ensure that all employees can always access a high-performance and reliable basic technology – whether at their workplace or in the flexible, hybrid work on the go. Every day, we take care of modern networks, powerful storage solutions, server capacities, cloud services, Microsoft Office 365 and communication via telephony. In addition, we maintain the complex infrastructure for the networks and broadcasting systems of television and radio throughout the broadcasting area of the NDR and ensure a secure and stable transition to the public Internet. Your tasks include: You conduct and implement technical projects around our on-premise network infrastructure – from planning to successful implementation. You unfold, plan and operate modern network topologies (LAN, WAN, Datacenter) including routing, switching, WLAN, VPN and firewalls. You are responsible for lifecycle management: maintenance, optimization and technological development of our network components. You coordinate the cooperation between internal teams, external service providers and stakeholders to complete projects on time and efficiently. You create and update technical documentation and find quick solutions for complex network problems. You always stay at the heart of time, track current trends and integrierst new technologies into our infrastructure.

Complete studies in computer science, media technology or comparable qualification with multi-year, relevant experience in the described field of tasks. Multiannual experience in building and operating on-premise networks (LAN, WAN, Datacenter). Practical experience in the connection of external sites and in the handling of carriers as well as knowledge of long-distance technologies such as WDM, directional radio and media over IP. A strong analytical way of thinking, with which you also see complex challenges structured and solution-oriented. Experience in managing technical projects, ideally with certifications or knowledge in project management methods such as Agile, Scrum, Prince2 or PMP. Communication skills to convey technical topics to different target groups (CIO, architects, service providers). Knowledge of Cisco technologies and openness to alternative manufacturers. Experience in automated deployment of network components. A safe occurrence, flexibility and the ability to work independently and customer-oriented. Very good knowledge of German.
