You will be accountable for architecting, delivering, and continuing evolving ZEISS's enterprise AI platform, a secure, scalable, and compliant foundation that multimillion efficiencies and revenue uplift in AI-driven business value across the organization You will drive self-service capabilities that accelerating AI development cycles while building foundational infrastructure for emerging agentsic AI use cases with appropriate guardrails and observability

Ultimately, our Head of AI Platform (f/m/x) serves as the technical cornerstone enabling ZEISS to scale AI innovation effectively across all Business Units

University degree in a technical subject 8+ years of professional experience in software and enterprise architecture

Min. 2 years of experience working on AI solutions and platforms

Proven ability to shape strategy, align diverse, and architectural and platform decisions in a complex enterprise environment

Demonstrated ability to drive organizational strategy and align cross-functional teams in a complex, multi-cultural environment

Proven leadership experience with distributed or international teams

Strong ability to influence, affect change, and drive decision-making at all organizational levels, from CxO to operational teams

Strong product mindset with a focus on developer advocacy, ensuring the platform is user-friendly, efficient, and supports diverse technical requirements

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Proven project management expertise to ensure the successful execution of complex, cross-functional AI platform initiatives

Business proficiency in German and English, enabling effective collaboration across global teams and diverse cultural contexts.
