Our customer is a globally aspiring group and one of the largest employers in ratings. At its production site, medium-voltage systems for electrical engineering are manufactured and tested. We are looking for a buyer (m/w/d) incl. Industry surcharges according to IG- Metall-/Electric Tariff Agreement.

As part of the supply chain management, you take a key role in strategic purchasing and actively shape cooperation with suppliers, work in partnership with the category management and departments.

Supplier management: Implementation of the SCM strategy and achieving defined purchasing objectives Support and coordination of suppliers used across areas Conducting contract negotiations and conclusion of framework agreements Escalation management and initiation of improvements in delivery disruptions Implementation of supplier visits to assess production processes and quality Condensation and process optimization:Identification and realization of savings potentials in the part portfolio Implementation and documentation of cost reduction projects New Materials & Technical ChangesRetrieval of offers, negotiation and award for new materials and amendments Accompanying material qualification up to series release

You have a successful completion of a degree in business/economy or a professional degree as an industrial businessman (m/w/d), office businessman (m/w/d) or a further education as a specialist in materials management (m/w/d) and multiannual experience as a buyer (m/w/d) of technical materials/products for equipment/plant construction. Multiannual professional experience in strategic purchasing or supplier management Impressed negotiating strength and communication skills Analytical thinking and structured, solution-oriented working Secure handling of SAP and MS Office Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing complete your profile

You will receive a contract of employment with a 35 hours/week and an over-tariff salary with industry supplements according to IG Metall/Electrical Agreement. You will also receive a tariff Christmas and holiday money. We offer you a mix of different services to support your financial security, including occupational retirement and medical care.
