Number: MER0003XXF In Group Research & Mercedes-Benz Cars Development (RD), we design the automotive generation of the future. The department deals with the overall thermal management for all Mercedes-Benz cars with the aim of optimizing the heat balance in the entire vehicle. These include, for example, the design of the cooling openings and the optimization of the air path, the design and release of the cooling circuits, the maintenance of permissible temperature limits on all relevant components and the optimization of the interior comfort. In addition, the department develops all modules and components for the air and media cooling of all Mercedes Benz car series. It operates innovative test stands, a specialized workshop and provides ready-to-measure vehicles for thermal protection. These challenges include: Support in the design and release of technically demanding components

Cooperation within the framework of projects with internal interfaces, such as workshop areas, purchasing, quality assurance and cost calculation

Supporting the team in coordinating the development process of our components from the design phase to the serial start

Design of presentations with technical content

Construction and evaluation of tests in the team's own test field at different test benches

You expect exciting special topics in the team and in the department, among others: Insight into specific development projects of thermal management

Responsible handling of project topics

Knowing various areas of the company and our product ranges/series

Sightseeing and knowledge of development processes, test stands, prototype construction and much more

The activity can begin from April 2026.

Studies with a focus on vehicle or motor technology, mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable degree course

Secure handling of MS Office, knowledge in CAD systems (preferably Siemens NX)

Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing

Entrepreneurial and strategic thinking and action

Embossed target and result orientation

Negotiating skills and team skills

Embossed communication capability

Innovative collaboration and creative introduction are desired
