System Engineer (m/f/d)

What we need

Operation and development of our predominantly Linux-based IT infrastructure Administration of virtualization and storage systems (Proxmox, VMware/ESXi) Support for specialist applications and special solutions Patch management, monitoring and maintenance planning Automation and documentation of IT processes Collaboration with Senior Engineers, DevOps and Helpdesk – also prepare for escalated support requests Working with ongoing IT projects (VM-Modernisation, Monitoring-Ausbau u.a.)

At least ~5 years of practical experience as system administrator or system engineer Solid Linux knowledge (administration, troubleshooting, shell scripting) – this is your core Virtualization Experience: Proxmox and/or VMware/ESXi Experience with backup and monitoring systems (e.g. Veeam, Checkmk or the like) Self-employed, structured work – you can also find yourself right without a perfect docu Readiness and curiosity: you are clever enough to penetrate new topics quickly Teamplayer mentality: no single fighter, but no waiting mode

desirable, but no need Windows server identifiers (AD, DNS, Group policies) Network Basic Knowledge (Firewalls, Switching, VLANs) Cloud experience (AWS or Azure) Microsoft 365 / Entra ID First experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform or the like) Security basic understanding (Hardening, MFA, role concepts)
