Head of Finance and Reporting Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel (m/f/d)

You are shaping the strategic development of the Finance and Reporting Division and are actively driving the modernisation of the University’s financial administration. This includes, in particular, the digitization of the financial processes, the introduction of a new ERP system and the expansion of internal control with controlling and budgeting. You are responsible for the management and establishment of the university's budget in close coordination with the Bureau, develop medium and long-term budget planning and ensure transparent financial and reporting. You advise the Bureau on strategic decisions with financial implications. You take over the management and planning of the business unit and develop the area as a service-oriented partner for faculties and central institutions. You represent the business unit inwards and outwards and are in exchange with ministries, auditors and auditors, the National Audit Office and financial institutions. You are financially responsible for the university's corporate assets.

You have a relevant academic degree (Master or Diploma) in the fields of business, administration or a comparable discipline. You have well-founded experience in the financial sector in the public sector or in the non-profit environment. You have extensive knowledge of commercial and ideally also of commercial budgetary and economic management as well as of accounting according to HGB and the relevant legal frameworks, in particular the right to finance and grants. You have experience in budget planning and budget negotiations as well as in the financial management of larger organisational units. Ideally, you already gained professional experience in the university environment. You bring a pronounced process thinking and a high affinity to the further development of administrative structures. You have experiences in initiation and accompanying change and development processes, in particular in the context of digitalization and ideally in the introduction of ERP systems. SAP knowledge is desirable. You have multi-year leadership experience of larger units. You understand motivating and developing teams.
