Center Manager (m/w/d) Application Operations

As a certified SAP Customer Center of Expertise (CCOE), the HCC is the central service provider in the Land of Hessen and is responsible for the further development and operation of the comprehensively used SAP systems. By adapting to the specific requirements of our customers, tailor-made SAP solutions are created that contribute significantly to digitalization in the public sector. The place shall be occupied in Wiesbaden from 1 July 2025. Application deadline: 15. June 2025

They run the new Delivery Center application operation and bear the personal responsibility for its employees. In this context, you define the work objectives of the employees for the performance of tasks and are responsible for the proper and economic operation of the SAP solutions, in particular in the fields of accounting, personnel and reporting as well as the cross-sectional topics (e.g. BTP, PO, Solution Manager). They control the Delivery Center with a focus on operational safety through clear targets and create the appropriate conditions for their compliance (e.g. resource planning and processes). In addition, you are responsible for the strategic orientation of the Delivery Center.

Successfully completed, relevant scientific university studies of computer science or business administration (or a comparable course of study) or a comparable qualification, which can be used to carry out a corresponding activity. Necessarily acquired and proven very good knowledge and experience of at least five years in the technical and disciplinary management of an SAP Competence Center, a department for application operation or a comparable task area, including the management of teams in the SAP environment; in the operation of complex SAP application landscapes, in the field of IT service management and process control, ideally complemented by certification in ITIL, in the construction and continuous optimization of stable and secure IT operating processes, in the effective management of external service providers, in particular quality assurance and budget control, in a team- and performance-oriented leadership culture and in the promotion of innovative willingness, in successful leadership through transformation processes. You can also bring this with you: Designed strategic, resource-conscious and structured action, combined with clear, analytical problem-solving competence as well as intrinsic innovative and design capability – always with a strong focus on customer orientation, efficiency and highest quality. Outstanding leadership and leadership competency with a strong sense of responsibility and social integrity, combined with loyalty, self-initiative, team and conflict capability, and high resilience. Excellent communication, moderation and presentation skills as well as a very good written and oral expressability, negotiation skills and sovereign communication at all levels and towards customers.
