Specialist Network & Security (m/f/d)

In this role, you take a central role for the secure and stable operation of the Group's internal network and security infrastructure. Your focus is on the further development of modern LAN, WAN, Datacenter and SD-WAN environments and the implementation of powerful network security solutions. You work with technologies from leading manufacturers such as Cisco and Fortinet and actively contribute your know-how in transformation and infrastructure projects. You are responsible for the operation, administration and further development of the location, data center and corporate networks, including SD-WAN, and secure a stable, performant and highly available network operation You plan, implement and optimize network and security architectures based on advanced Cisco and Fortinet technologies and support location connections, data center extensions and technology migrations You configure, maintain and manage routers, switches, firewalls and SD-WAN components and take the analysis as well as troubleshooting complex network and security issues in 2nd and 3rd level support You implement security concepts such as firewalling, network segmentation, VPN and zero-trust approaches in close cooperation with internal teams and continuously develop existing security structures You monitor the network infrastructure by monitoring, perform proactive error analysis and performance optimization, and support the standardization, automation and documentation of network processes and operating concepts

You have completed technical studies or technical training with appropriate professional experience in the field of Network & Security as well as experience in the operation and further development of corporate networks You'll bring knowledge of routing and switching and have practical experience with technologies such as BGP, OSPF, VLANs, routers, switches and firewalls You have experience with network and security solutions from leading manufacturers, ideally Cisco and/or Fortinet, as well as SD-WAN knowledge You have experience in network security, in particular with firewalling, network segmentation, VPN technologies, network access control and other security solutions; Knowledge of datacenter networking and highly available architectures are advantageous You have experience in the planning, implementation and operation of LAN, WAN and WLAN infrastructures, are interested in automation, scripting or API-based integrations and communicate safely in German and English
