Number: MER0003VSZ Since 1919, the Sindelfingen site has been writing automotive history and produces the S- and E-Class for the entire world market. Logistics will be paperless, digital, automated and transparent in the future. As a team „Innovations & Digitization“ we set the logistics standards in line with all the works for planning processes, supply concepts such as driverless transport systems (FTS) and equipment. Our responsibility for the standards extends from the idea to the support of the implementation with the specialist areas of logistics planning. We develop innovative ideas and methods as well as individual solutions for the specific requirements of the works and implement them in cooperation with the logistics operators. In addition to external cooperation partners, we work closely interdisciplinary with colleagues from the fields of quality management, occupational safety, assembly and IT. New technologies constantly generate a large amount and diversity of data. Our task is to develop software solutions in the form of microservices based on these real-time data. In this way, live tracking, early warning, error analysis and simulations are enabled, as well as complete transparency for operators and logistics planners are produced.
