System Engineer (m/w/d) OT/IP Networks

As a transport network operator, we are responsible for the safe supply of heat and electricity in Baden-Württemberg and Hesse. With our 2.750 km long network we transporate gas from Lower Saxony to Lake Constance – and around the clock. In order to achieve the energy transition, it needs a powerful gas transport infrastructure – for local suppliers in the region, for industry, industry and modern gas power plants. In the future we transport climate-neutral, green gases and hydrogen. Our approximately 300 employees at ten locations in Baden-Württemberg and Hessen work together on the further development of our business areas: gas transport, telecom and services. We have a strong, solution-oriented, partnership-oriented and combined with the region to create tomorrow's energy supply. In addition to our energy transmission network, we also operate a high-efficiency and secure automation data network based on a wide-ranging fibre-optic infrastructure network. In addition to the operation of trans­port­technical automation and communication networks, our field of expertise also deals with the development of new piping networks with high-auto­mated control and station technology. We are looking for a system engineer (m/w/d) OT/IP networks to strengthen our team in the field of communication technology and electrical systems at our Lindorf (Nähe Wendlingen / Kirchheim / Nürtingen).

Conception, planning, installation and support of complex IP core infrastructure in the network infrastructure and the long-distance network based on Cisco components Maintenance, maintenance, optimization and scaling of secure transmission of remote control, measurement and control data in the critical infrastructure of a transmission system operator Design and operation of Cisco and Palo Alto edge and core firewalls Incident Management incl. further development of the Network Operation Center with modern, existing network monitoring tools Second-level support of network and telecommunications systems Support for critical infrastructure changes (Change Management) measures Creation and updating of system documentation The use of Security Policies and Curing of OT Assets with respect to ISMS Policy is part of your task If you want to find yourself in some of the points mentioned and develop in the other fields of activity, please apply. They have to demonstrate a degree with a high level of information technology (e.g. communications technology, electrical engineering or computer science) or, alternatively, a completed vocational training with a high point of network engineering and corresponding multiannual professional experience. First professional experience in dealing with typical network analysis and monitoring applications (e.g. WireShark, Solarwinds and Observium) as a network IP security administrator as well as advanced knowledge in the transition to common network and Internet protocols (e.g. OSPF, BGP and MPLS) are desirable They are pleased with local missions, mainly in the terranets Ready-to-release call for green­dish integration Proactive, independent and solution-oriented work and an above-average level of service and customer orientation Very good knowledge of German (at least B2 level) and reliable English (at least B1 level) Class B driving licence
