Orthopaedics, accident and plastic surgery are united at the University Hospital of Dresden in a center. This is part of the certified spinal center, has a large ambulance area with numerous special telephone hours, four normal stations and an acute station with a total of 164 beds. In order to ensure optimal care for patients, these specialized sections are assigned (e.g. knees, septic surgery, tumor surgery, endoprosthetics, foot surgery or sports medicine). The treatment of the patients thus takes place diagnostically and, of course, in close exchange with all professional groups involved in the treatment process.
