Type of employment: Unlimited Working time: Full time Place of work: Renningen You design the strategic research roadmap for RADAR, video and USS technologies and continuously coordinate these with the business units to secure the long-term business and technology leadership of Bosch XC-AC. You will notice new technologies and innovative applications, observe competitors as well as market trends (patents, trade fairs, publications, conferences) and derive recommendations for action. The technical coordination of all RADAR, video and USS research activities within group research, including artificial intelligence, is responsible in close coordination with the involved business units (XC + ME). A holistic view of products, necessary tools and technology enablers (e.g. simulation, data management, architectures) to achieve optimal division of activities and derive systemic sensor sets as well as sensor requirements. You actively engage in external research activities and events (e.g. Keynote Speeches) and initiate, participate in or conduct industrial consortia (e.g. frequency division, interface standardization). You actively develop the technology strategy for RADAR, Video and USS, are closely tuned with research departments and business units, thus ensuring our long-term technology leadership. For all RADAR levels, from high-frequency hardware to baseband signal processing to functional software, develop ground-breaking strategies, focusing artificial intelligence strongly. The data strategy for all machine learning topics within the RADAR technology defines you decisively and drive them forward. You are responsible for partitioning hardware and software for central and decentralized RADAR architectures and thus designing the system landscape of tomorrow. Continuously, you contribute to the definition of the Bosch sensor set via all modalities (Video, LIDAR, USS, RADAR) for automation levels L0 to L5 and promote the cross-domain exchange for the identification of synergies. Internally, you actively contribute to the continuation of Bosch-wide communication instruments (Newsletters, Colloquiums, Conference Management Meetings) and take over the leadership or participation in portfolio meetings as well as, if necessary, the temporary management of individual radar, video and USS activities. As part of the Bosch expert organisation, you are working on the continuous further development within your Peer Group and are assisting young people as a contact person.

Education: completed master's or doctoral studies in electrical engineering, computer science or natural sciences experience and know-how: deep knowledge in RADAR, high-frequency technology, hardware development, signal processing, AI and data-driven development methods; Experience with features based on RADAR (AEB, ACC, HAD); knowledge of video and USS sensor technology; know-how in functional relationships with other sensors (LIDAR, VIDEO, USS); experience with partitioning in the vehicle network (network, data rates); Transfer of and to other technical domains (signal theory, embedded systems, mathematics, data engineering); Contribution to non-technical domains such as marketing and competence development Personality and working methods: You manage to define a clear strategic orientation for long-term business success with the team, to communicate clearly and consistently with the board level; Bosch interests represent you sovereignly in international bodies and projects; the perspectives of costs (product & development) and technology guide you skillfully together; with your enforcing power, you are also driving disruptive technologies successfully; You motivate your environment and promote constructive cooperation in the team Enthusiasm: You are nurturing and living Bosch’s internal and external networks with great enthusiasm and actively contribute to the continuous development within the Bosch expert organisation.
