The Mercedes-Benz Cars Procurement & Supplier Quality (MP) division is responsible for an annual purchase volume in the double-digit billion range as well as the quality of all vehicles. In partnership with around 1,500 suppliers in Germany and abroad, the necessary materials are provided for the worldwide production plants of Mercedes-Benz Cars/Vans. Locations in Germany, South Africa, China, India and Mexico ensure close proximity to production. New challenges exist in particular in the areas of autonomous driving, connectivity and alternative drives. Our team is responsible for the module purchase and the supplier quality of seat systems and seat components. We are constantly analyzing the dynamic changes in the market and reviewing the purchasing and supplier strategy for our components. We assign development and series orders, conduct global negotiations and secure the delivery and quality of the components. In the case of innovations and new developments, we are here from the outset! As part of your activity, you will get to know various internal areas such as quality, development and global purchasing. These challenges include: Preparation and participation in supplier talks/negotiations Cross-functional international cooperation with internal and external contacts Participation in the operational shopping business (Examples in Excel/ PowerPoint, pre- and post-processing of negotiations) Participation in the creation, evaluation and negotiation of new assignments or Resourcing sizes Creation of request documents and quote sets Creation of part life cycles Construction and comparison of different business cases using predicted unit numbers/costs Tracking change management process, tuning unit numbers with development and series management and communication to suppliers Participation in organizing workshops, offering presentations and supplier discussions Evaluation and independent analysis of purchasing key figures The activity can begin from September 2026.
