Your Lead and develop a team of Data Engineers. Be a technical mentor and manager for your team. Promote the specialization of your group and deepen their knowledge to play a leading role in data engineering. Take responsibility for all services around our data products with your team and provide them with reliable and scalable data mesh to other areas. Lead product teams to implement our data and analysis strategy by designing, implementing and managing new data products. Use agile methods and create an environment of constant learning, integrity and mutual responsibility. Together with the platform team, Etabliere is a professional development environment for data engineering to optimize the performance, scaling and cost transparency of our data products. Your Master's degree in an MINT field (e.g. physics, mathematics, computer science). At least 8 years of experience in a data engineering environment, of which at least 3 years in a leadership role. Detectional successes in providing data products from idea to implementation. Comprehensive practical experience in cloud technologies (preferably MS Azure and Databricks). Excellent understanding of data modeling and software engineering principles, including code reviews, automated testing and CI/CD concepts. Comprehensive practical experience with Python, Apache Airflow, Apache Spark and dbt are of advantage. Very good knowledge of German is necessary. Good knowledge of English is required.
