July 2027 | Part-time 75% with holiday scheme | Payment: S 12 TVöD/SuE The social and youth authority of the city of Karlsruhe strengthens social cooperation, promotes participation and social integration and provides support for people in different situations of life. School social work works directly at the local school and is committed to increasing the chances of children and young people and strengthening them in their individual development. The Albschule is a special educational and counselling centre with a focus on mental development with primary, primary and vocational education.

Advice and networking in schools: You advise pupils, parents, teachers and other professionals in schools and help families apply for appropriate assistance in the field of youth and integration. You work closely with the General Social Service and build bridges between the school and the support systems. Support for internal school development: You actively support schools in the development of schools and the implementation of inclusive measures in the social area. Through projects, you are an advocate for topics such as child protection, anti-discrimination, participation and social learning. Documentation and evaluation: In addition to classical consulting, you take over administrative tasks, create reports and statistical evaluations and thus make an important contribution to the processing of information and public relations.

Qualifications: You have a completed study of social work and/or social education, ideally with relevant professional experience in the field of social work, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience in school social work. Knowledge: You are familiar with the legal foundations of youth assistance, integration aid and the education system. Ideally, you will bring knowledge in dealing with child protection cases according to § 8a SGB VIII and § 4 KKG. Experience in working with people with disabilities is advantageous for work at the school. Experience in methodological discussion and moderation and conflict resolution complement your profile. In addition, you are confident in handling digital work and social media. Competences: A high level of contact, negotiation skills and enforcement skills are yours. At the same time, you encounter people with disabilities openly and appreciated. In consultations, you can develop consistent solutions on this basis. You enjoy their own work and can independently prioritize and edit tasks in a structured manner. You also have the ability to identify complex relationships and prepare the information for different target groups.
