Technical Lead - IT Application Management & Rapid Development Squad (f/m/d)

In this role, you take over the technical leadership of a newly built squad, which is a central function in the technical management of our business applications. You are responsible for both stable operation and fast development and automation initiatives. In detail: Technical guidance of a cross-functional squad: You set the technical direction, priority tasks, coach your team and ensure high quality in operation and fast development Ensuring a stable operation: You are responsible for performance, safety and availability of our application landscape Control of external service providers: You coordinate daily business, incident management and implementation activities Further development of standards and best practices: You define and optimise guidelines, processes, reusable blueprints and quality standards Rapid Prototyping & MVP development: You translate business requirements into fast pilot solutions that serve as a basis for later provider-controlled implementations

Experience in the operation of business applications in multi-provider setups, including SLA control, quality assurance and standardization Very good understanding of application architectures, ITIL processes and the interaction of infrastructure, middleware and applications Experience with Azure or AWS as well as common database and middleware technologies routine in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) and ability to quickly create MVPs/Prototypes; basic programming skills (e.g. Python, Java) Operating experience in SAP landscapes (S/4HANA), basic/transport processes, integrations (IDoc/BAPI/OData, PI/PO/Integration Suite), roles/authentications, Job Scheduling Experience with container technologies like Docker & Kubernetes CI/CD & Automation: Good understanding of pipelines, deployment workflows, automation tools Monitoring & Observability: Competence in Metrics, Logging, Alerting, Performance Analysis Very good knowledge of Java and familiarity with common runtime environments Practical experience in operating cloud-based applications Identity & Access Management: Understanding Authentication, Authorization, Roll-based Access Control (RBAC) and Related IAM Concepts Experience with Enterprise databases (ideally Oracle) and their use in complex application landscapes Integration patterns: Confidence with APIs, Messaging and Middleware in the context of modern enterprise integration Operating Systems & Scripting: Funded knowledge of Unix-based systems as well as scripting to support operation, analysis and troubleshooting Understanding file sharing and storage technologies, authorization concepts and their integration in application workflows Strong communication capability: You can easily prepare complex technical topics for different stakeholders Hands-on & solution-oriented: You combine strategic thinking with pragmatic implementation and actively promote topics
