Chief Financial Officer (m/w/d)

In your role as Chief Financial Officer, you bear the overall responsibility for the complete range of financial management and the commercial areas of the publishing group with the eight associated individual publishers and over 200 employees at three locations. As a financial professional with several years of experience in a comparable position, you control the practical and strategic financial and liquidity planning, accounting and annual accounts of the four companies (HGB and IFRS). You are always competent for your direct reports. The thematic areas of risk management, compliance and digital transformation in financial organisations will keep you in mind and ensure them. In the management of your Direct Reports in the fields of accounting, manufacturing, IT and human resources, you implement the strategic goals for the further development of the publishing group. You represent the economic perspective in the management team of the SCM publishing group and are Sparringspartner:in the Managing Director (CEO) and the Board of Management of the Foundation, which is the sole shareholder of the publishing group.

With sound technical financial expertise, empathic leadership skills and your own willingness to learn, you can modernise financial management. You act safely and purposefully in the use and further development of financial software, BI and ERP systems. You have the ability to translate strategic objectives into resilient implementation plans, with clarity, integrity and business compass. Ideally, you have experience in publishing, with non-profit structures and in change management.
