In the research group “High Performance Components” we are engaged in the research and development of fluidic drive components in the field of hydraulics. Against the background of increasing demands on efficiency, performance density and ecological compatibility, we address current and future challenges. These challenges include applications with higher speeds and pressures and competition with alternative drive technologies. Our work focuses on the constructive and functional development of hydraulic components such as valves or pumps. In this respect, both the efficiency increase plays an important role, for example, through optimized valve and actuator concepts as well as the expansion of the range of functions by integrated sensor technology and soft sensor technology solutions. In addition to the further development of existing solutions, we are specifically investigating new technological approaches. These include additive manufacturing methods for implementing novel geometries and functional integrations as well as model-based methods for designing and analyzing future component concepts. The experimental protection is carried out by the design and construction of suitable test benches. In regular group meetings, an organizational and professional exchange takes place. Here we discuss topics from current project management and plan future projects and publications. Mutual support and cooperation are very important to us in our group. As part of your activities, depending on your focus, you will edit a selection of the following topics: Research and development in future-oriented topics focusing on the investigation and evaluation of the potential of new solutions, e.g. the use of additive manufacturing methods in hydraulics as well as the development and implementation of soft sensor technology solutions Design and model-based development of innovative hydraulic components using CAx tools Optimization and new development of existing component solutions Conception, development and commissioning of test stands for experimental validation of innovative solutions
Complete university studies (master or comparable) in the field of mechanical engineering, CES, electrical engineering, physics or computer science Knowledge of information and communication systems Programming or simulation skills Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering, construction and fluid technology desirable Structured work, creativity and interest in new topics
