IT Network and Security Administrator

You take care of the operation, administration and optimization of existing network infrastructure (LAN, WLAN, WAN) towards a modern next-gen architecture. Within our institute, you can configure switches and firewalls using Cisco ISE and Palo Alto Panorama, which allows you to smoothly run digital communication. You build a monitoring environment for optimal error analysis and help in the Troubleshooting and develop our network architecture with regard to new protocol and application types. In addition, you plan new infrastructure components for the existing network landscape and create and check the network and security concepts including their implementation. New technologies such as Zero Trust, SD-Wan or Automation are evaluated by you with regard to our compliance requirements. This ensures that the next gene architecture provides the necessary security and functionality.

Minimum qualification: Complete Bachelor Program in IT (e.g. Computer Science, IT Security or Similar) Practical experience in network administration with knowledge in TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, switching, firewalls Self-responsibility, sense of responsibility and communication strength also help you proactively penetrate complex problems and implement and present your solutions. Very good knowledge of German and good English in word and writing Required qualifications: Knowledge of network security, system curing and security concepts such as handling messages from XDR/IDS solutions, removing unnecessary services or ports, implementing strict password policies (HaveIBeenPwned integration), implementing defense in Depth and Incident Response concepts and emergency planning First knowledge in dealing with regulatory requirements (e.g. BSI Grundschutz, ISO 27001) Experiences in the field of automation with e.g. Python or Ansible
