As Senior System Administrator (m/w/d) manage and monitor our database instances. You install, configure and maintain database systems, and plan and manage both backup and recovery concepts for databases. You analyze and optimize the performance of databases and implement security measures. You cooperate with development teams in database-related issues and projects.

Successful study of computer science, business information technology or a comparable qualification Multiannual relevant professional practice in a 7x24-hour IT operating environment with expertise in Oracle 19c and/or 26ai, PostgreSQL or MongoDB under Linux – of advantage: practice in operation of Microsoft SQL. Experience with highly available databases, Unix/Linux operating systems and scripting, as well as cloud services for database solutions (e.g. Google Cloud Platform, MS Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) and technologies such as Kubernetes and Terraform User knowledge of SQL and/or PL/SQL Used in ITIL processes in incident, problem and change management, ideally with ServiceNow Willingness to participate in call readiness in a 7x24-hour IT operating environment Very good German and good English in word and writing
