The Q15 “Strategic Demand Planning for Real Estate with Public Use, Real Estate Economics and Transport, Education Building Bremen” Unit at the Senator for Finance is still in the foundation phase. The tasks of the unit include, inter alia, the development of real estate strategies, concepts and portfolio analyses to cover the area needs of public use of schools and daycare centres, police buildings and offices. The real estate portfolio is versatile and the new unit commissions location analyses, inventory recordings and master plans at the municipal real estate Bremen (IB). Together with Immobilien Bremen and the users of public buildings, the path to efficient and sustainable real estate management is to be designed.

The designated body shall include the following tasks: development of financing solutions as well as investment concepts for managing new buildings and renovations, purchasing planning and acquisition recommendations; further development of the landlord-model implemented in Bremen; preparation of analyses on rental levels and land balances; Creation of cost-effectiveness calculations and costing of projects in public-private partnership (PP projects); respondent in financial questions; Creation and communication of presentations and reports and protocols/documents, consultation of cooperation partners and cooperation in working groups and bodies.
